The owners of this home wanted a modern, moody lodge-style vibe for their exterior. On the back side, a spacious second-story deck provides an outdoor space that’s a mainstay for many modern cabins. Stone siding helps create a rustic-but-sleek look for this modern cabin. The green metal roof adds a pop of color that gives the home an earthy feel. To achieve it, our designers recommended concrete siding that looks like real wood. This homeowner wanted the look of a log cabin without actually using any logs. Our designers used Benjamin Moore’s Iron Mountain on the siding and Black on the trim to create a moody modern cabin vibe. Multiple outdoor spaces, wood and stone accents, and a dramatic color palette - this home has all our favorite elements of a modern cabin. This home isn’t your average cabin in the woods. The screened-in porch on the upper deck offers plenty of indoor-outdoor living space. To make this home pop, our designers recommended stunning stone siding and lap siding painted with Benjamin Moore’s Deep Creek - one of our favorite green exterior paint colors. The owners of this modern lake-house -meets-cabin wanted to ensure their home wouldn’t blend in with all the surrounding trees. This home’s cedar siding was beautiful and in great condition, so our designers opted to keep it natural instead of painting it.
